DARRAGH: PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

INTERN AT BANG

bang-blogs-wordpress-official

I found out about BANG through my dad.

I had a meeting with the leadership team at BANG where I learned about the range of opportunities and projects BANG offers to young people in the local community.

Through this internship, I have built many skills and made many connections with professionals in the media industry.

I am currently working on a project which is a collaboration between BANG and the Kiln Theatre and through this, I’m working with the Kiln Theatre on a separate project to develop my professional experience in the performing arts.

I am also an assistant in the delivery of the BANG heritage project. This is a new project which aims to show the value and meaning of cultures and heritages that are not recognised in public cultural spaces such as museums.

I have done many tasks at BANG, including administration, project planning, and have learned many new skills through this internship.

I have also gained an understanding of how to work with others and communicate ideas.

I have really enjoyed working with a warm and welcoming group of people.

BANG is an asset in communities as they helped me gain confidence in myself and enable other young people to gain confidence in themselves and build valuable skills for the future.

I am incredibly lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to work at BANG.
