BANG STAKEHOLDER

EVENT

On the 26th of November 2025, BANG hosted a stakeholder event at the Brent Hub Community Enterprise Centre in Stonebridge.

This event was organised by BANG’s interns to bring together BANG’s stakeholders, including funders, school partners, organisations, and the board of directors.

It aimed to showcase BANG’s recent delivery of the Who Am I: Heritage Project and the BANG Survey of 1000 young people, which explored the needs of young people across BANG’s six thematic areas.

There were several major achievements during both the planning and development stages, as well as at the event itself.

Our biggest achievements included the strong attendance and active participation of students from St Claudine’s Catholic School for Girls and Preston Park Primary School. Lyvonne Saunders, Project Lead of the Who Am I: Heritage Project, delivered an engaging presentation – supported by participating students – on the experiences of young people involved in the programme.

Jonathan Wine, Drumming Facilitator, also presented on the successful delivery of SEND provision at Manor School, alongside a drumming session. Guinevere Moreno and Melissa Cawthorne-Young delivered a presentation on the BANG survey results, showcasing the needs of young people and how BANG will address these in practice.

Following our breakout sessions, stakeholders and young people discussed the key issues faced by young people in Brent, including racism, bullying, comparison, social media, and not feeling safe to share issues with teachers and fearing exclusion from their peer group.

The BANG Stakeholder event was a success, delivered within 7 weeks.

The attendance of 60 stakeholders showed the positive impact BANG is making in delivering initiatives to young people and communities. By delivering events organised by interns, inviting young people, their families, and the local community, we can broaden our reach and existence – enabling us to deliver more services and build a stronger network.
