JOURDYN: INTERNING AT BANG

My name is Jourdyn. I am a Psychology student at Brunel University and a new intern at BANG!

I love connecting with new people and sharing my experiences and culture.

I arrived at BANG at the end of July, ready to start a new chapter, learn, and gain new experiences.

So far, it has not disappointed!

Since joining, I have had the opportunity to take part in organising the BANGIN’ Youth Club and the collaboration with Nine’s Health and Fitness Club.

Additionally, I have learned to manage and organise the social media pages and handle various administrative tasks at BANG.

I am most excited to plan and organise more projects for the community and to learn some of the invaluable skills that come with working with young people – such as communication, patience, and adaptability, to name a few.

The community here at BANG is ever welcoming and supportive, always ready to lend a listening ear or assist when I encounter a block. The atmosphere is consistently cordial and friendly, and it made me feel at home right away.

BANG is focused on developing young people to become leaders in their communities and to build their future together.

Here’s to fresh starts and making a difference, one day at a time.
