YOUTH VOICE

BANG is developing further its Youth Leadership and Youth Voice Programme.

Over the last few years, we have worked with young people to deliver key initiatives including the BANG BBQ, ViTALFEST, Fuse Fest, and the BANGIN’ Youth Club.

Youth Leadership and Youth Voice engages 14–19-year-olds in activities and workshops that they design and lead within their communities.

It’s not just about participating — it’s about taking ownership. Young people will shape and deliver real projects with support from experienced mentors, coaches, and facilitators.

Participants will develop practical skills through creative activities such as residential trips, podcasting, and business development — all driven by their own ideas and leadership.

By leading the process, they build essential skills in leadership, communication, decision-making, negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Our aim is to ensure young people gain life skills and spend more time outdoors, while developing social actions to improve their environment.

The programme is delivered in partnership with Groundwork and PODXPARTY, combining nature-based learning with content creation. This approach gives young people the chance to connect with the environment while expressing their views on the issues that matter to them.

Youth Leadership and Youth Voice is part of BANG’s wider strategic commitment to young people. It’s one of six core programme areas, ensuring every young person has a leadership role and the ability to influence change within their community.
