BANG Partners with Groundwork to Cultivate Youth Leadership in Brent
BANG is proud to announce a new partnership with Groundwork, a national charity working to create greener, more environmentally friendly communities.
Together, we are committed to equipping young people in Brent with essential leadership skills through nature-based experiences that build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection to their environment.
At the heart of BANG’s mission is the development of young leaders who actively contribute to the wellbeing of their communities through entrepreneurship, social action, and collaborative learning. This partnership enhances our Youth Leadership and Youth Voice programme by integrating environmental education and outdoor experiences that foster personal and collective growth.
Working closely with Groundwork, we are co-designing experiences that help young people develop life and work skills while exploring the outdoors. These include residentials organised by Groundwork, offering immersive leadership-building activities for young people aged 14 to 19. Participants will engage with nature through hands-on experiences involving plants, trees, and animals—building both ecological awareness and emotional resilience.
We are currently developing the core programme activities, focusing on cultivating leadership and personal development alongside practical skills such as organic gardening and sustainable farming. These activities not only strengthen young people’s environmental literacy but also embed values of stewardship and community responsibility.
Our aim is clear: young people connect with nature and take an active role in making their communities more environmentally sustainable.
Through this partnership, we are nurturing a generation of young leaders who understand the importance of environmental sustainability and are motivated to drive change in their local areas.
