BANG has a history of working successfully with interns and volunteers.
Our past interns have progressed to professional roles in media, civil-sector, and corporate organisations.
The current internship programme has been developed with significant input from Jourdyn Chor, an intern from Brunel University.
The program features a structured, three-tier system designed to meet participants at their current skill levels, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and ambitions while building key competencies.
Introductory |
This foundational level introduces interns to essential workplace skills, providing a solid understanding of professional environments. Designed for young people with limited or no prior work experience, this stage focuses on building competencies in communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving. By the end of this level, interns gain the confidence needed to navigate the workplace effectively.
Developing |
At this intermediate level, interns actively contribute to ongoing projects within the organisation. They deepen their skills through hands-on participation in planning, executing, and refining initiatives. This stage sharpens their ability to collaborate, manage tasks efficiently, and work independently, equipping them to tackle more complex challenges.
Leading |
The advanced level powers interns to take full responsibility for designing, leading, and executing their own projects from start to finish. This stage offers comprehensive leadership experience, enabling interns to oversee the entire project lifecycle—from conceptualisation to implementation. By the end of this level, they will have refined their decision-making, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities, positioning them for senior roles in any organisation.
Enhanced Leadership Skills |
Interns will develop core leadership qualities such as decision-making, effective communication, and project management, preparing them to excel in future roles. |
Increased Confidence and Resilience |
By engaging in real-world projects and overcoming challenges, interns will build self-assurance, and the resilience needed to thrive in professional environments. |
Practical Work Experience |
Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience, acquiring practical skills and knowledge that enhance their employability and career readiness. |
Professional Networking Opportunities |
Interns will connect with professionals, mentors, and peers, broadening their networks and gaining valuable insights into diverse career paths. |
Portfolio of Achievements |
Upon completing the programme, interns will leave with a portfolio of projects and accomplishments, effectively showcasing their skills and commitment to future employers.
