BANGIN’ YOUTH CLUB: OCTOBER HALF TERM
During the October half term, BANG ran the BANGIN’ Youth Club.
The BANGIN’ Youth Club is an initiative that engages young people in a mix of group learning and leisure activities that develop their personal and professional skills.
15 young people took part in the BANGIN’ Youth Club – with 6 new joiners for a week of development activities – enabling them to make friends and contribute positively to their communities.
The BANGIN’ Youth Club was managed by three youth leaders who are all under 18 years old as part of BANG’s mission to ensure young people are valued, thriving, and leading.
The youth leaders of the BANGIN’ Youth Club planned and facilitated all the activities and trips of the week – building key leadership skills such as decision-making, teamwork, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving.
The impact of delivering the youth club was profound. Witnessing the joyous moments, such as the young people taking the lead in activities such as making their own pizzas and designing their own t-shirts exemplified the positive impact of the youth club.
BANGIN’ Youth Club was a success.
BANG successfully connected young people, fostered friendships, provided invaluable skill-building opportunities, and left a lasting positive impression on the community. The dedicated youth leaders and the enthusiastic participation of young people showed how the community and youth spirit in Brent is alive.
