BRENT GOES GLOBAL
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH YBF
BANG is supporting The Young Brent Foundation to deliver Brent Goes Global!
Brent Goes Global, funded by the Raheem Sterling Foundation, is a volunteer programme created to provide young people aged 17 – 21 with the opportunity to learn, travel, and explore other cultures.
The young people on the programme work collaboratively as a group to decide what issues they would like to address in a specific place and then travel to the country to meet the local people and work with them to solve the problem.
The first destination of the Brent Goes Global programme will be Jamaica! This will largely focus on exploring the culture of the island, including its music, culture, food, and customs.
BANG has worked in Jamaica to deliver local initiatives to improve the lives of young people through leadership and self-esteem workshops at Marcus Garvey Technical High School.
Through collaborative efforts, BANG and The Young Brent Foundation will be working together to equip young people with fundraising and project management skills whilst allowing them to make new friends and engage in exciting workshops!
BANG is invested in developing its relationship with the Young Brent Foundation to provide young people with the opportunity to explore cultures through travel and exploration.
Brent Goes Global sits under BANG’s Community, Culture, & Heritage initiative that aims to build young people’s understanding of their heritage, and different cultures, and enable them to choose the communities they would like to serve.
