BANG INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The BANG Internship Programme was developed to equip young people with essential skills for both their professional and personal lives.

BANG has a history of working successfully with interns and volunteers.

Our past interns have progressed to professional roles in media, civil-sector, and corporate organisations.

The current internship programme has been developed with significant input from Jourdyn Chor, an intern from Brunel University.

The program features a structured, three-tier system designed to meet participants at their current skill levels, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and ambitions while building key competencies.

Programme Tiers

Introductory

This foundational level introduces interns to essential workplace skills, providing a solid understanding of professional environments. Designed for young people with limited or no prior work experience, this stage focuses on building competencies in communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving. By the end of this level, interns gain the confidence needed to navigate the workplace effectively.

Developing

At this intermediate level, interns actively contribute to ongoing projects within the organisation. They deepen their skills through hands-on participation in planning, executing, and refining initiatives. This stage sharpens their ability to collaborate, manage tasks efficiently, and work independently, equipping them to tackle more complex challenges.

Leading

The advanced level powers interns to take full responsibility for designing, leading, and executing their own projects from start to finish. This stage offers comprehensive leadership experience, enabling interns to oversee the entire project lifecycle—from conceptualisation to implementation. By the end of this level, they will have refined their decision-making, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities, positioning them for senior roles in any organisation.

Pathway to Leadership

The BANG Internship Programme is more than just a work experience opportunity—it is a pathway to becoming a confident, resilient, and capable leader. Each tier of the programme encourages interns to take initiative, think creatively to solve problems, and actively shape their career journeys.

This comprehensive experience not only equips young people with the skills needed to thrive in the professional world but also instils the personal qualities essential for effective leadership in any setting. By the end of the internship, participants will have developed a robust skill set, strengthened their leadership potential, and embraced a mindset geared towards growth and success.
